The Famous Five - Five Have A Wonderful Time

by Enid Blyton

Brief summary of the book:

'The Famous Five' is Enid Blyton's most popular series based on the characters Julian, Dick and Anne, George and Timmy the dog. The eleventh book, Five Have A Wonderful Time, was written in 1952.

When Julian, Dick and Anne are on a holiday in horse drawn caravans near a ruined castle, George is stuck at home in bed with a cold. When she finally arrives, it is not long before Fair Folk arrive too.

At first they seem mean and act like they don't want anyone around, and they even move Julian, Dick, George and Anne's caravans onto another field. But when Julian and Dick see a  desperate face in one of the castle tower's windows through George's new binoculars, they get suspicious. When they try to find whose face is it, they get into yet another adventure!

My favourite character and why:

My favourite character in this book was Julian. This is because he is responsible and always knows what to do in any situation.

Lessons from the book:

My star rating and recommendations:

Never overlook something strange, even if you think you are just imagining it.

Four and a half stars out of 5!

I would recommend this book for people who like humourous mystery stories.
